Study design. In Condition 1 (C1), the experimenter walks toward the participant, and the participant is asked to say “stop” at the distance where he/she feels uncomfortable. In Condition 2 (C2) , the participant walks toward the experimenter and is asked to stand at a distance from which he/she feels uncomfortable. In Condition 3 (C3), the experimenter and the participant approach each other; the participant is asked to stand at a distance where he/she feels uncomfortable and say “stop”
